Eneco Tour: Peter Sagan ganó al sprint y es el nuevo líder
Sigue cosechando éxitos en lo que va corrido de la temporada. Peter Sagan (Tinkoff) alcanzó su segunda victoria consecutiva al imponerse al sprint en la cuarta etapa del Eneco Tour y se convirtió en el nuevo líder. La jornada de este jueves se disputó entre las localidades de Aalter y St-Pieters-Leeuw sobre un exigente recorrido de 201.4 kilómetros.
Sigue cosechando éxitos en lo que va corrido de la temporada. Peter Sagan (Tinkoff) alcanzó su segunda victoria consecutiva al imponerse al sprint en la cuarta etapa del Eneco Tour y se convirtió en el nuevo líder. La jornada de este jueves se disputó entre las localidades de Aalter y St-Pieters-Leeuw sobre un exigente recorrido de 201.4 kilómetros.
El eslovaco Peter Sagan marcó un tiempo de 4 horas, 42 minutos y 12 segundos, tras ser más rápido que el alemán André Greipel (Lotto Soudal) y el noruego Alexander Kristoff (Katusha). De la carrera hace parte el colombiano Winner Anacona (Movistar), quien cruzó la línea de meta en la casilla 62 con el mismo guarismo del vencedor.
El damnificado de la carrera fue Tom Boonen (Etixx-Quick Step) tras sufrir una aparatosa caída, por lo que fue trasladado a un hospital. El corredor al parecer sufrió una lesión en una de sus muñecas lo que pondría en entre dicho su participación en el mundial de ruta de Doha a disputarse del 9 al 16 de octubre.
Dmitriy Gruzdev (Astana), Andriy Grivko (Astana) y Jasper Stuyven (Trek-Segafredo), protagonizaron una de las fugas, pero fueron capturados faltando tres kilómetros para la raya de sentencia. A falta de 2.000 metros hubo una caída masiva por fortuna sin nada grave. Finalmente Peter Sagan mostró su ambición de victoria y levanto los brazos por segundo día consecutivo en un apretado final definido al foto finish
Este viernes se llevará a cabo la quinta fracción y será la tan esperada CRE con salida y llegada en Sittard-Geleen con un recorrido de 20,9 kilómetros.

El bicicrocista bogotano Juan Carlos Gaitán se colgó la medalla de oro en la prueba de BMX Freestyle, este jueves en Armenia, en el marco de los Juegos Nacionales Juveniles Eje Cafetero 2024.
La actuación del deportista capitalino talló con la perfección, marcando 92.90 de puntaje, que no fue superado por ningún otro ciclista en la ronda final.
El podio de la prueba lo completaron los tolimenses David Fernando Tovar, quien terminó en el segundo lugar y Cristhian Leandro Tibaquirá, que se quedó con la medalla de bronce.

Oficial: Winner Anacona y Dayer Quintana se unen al Colombia Pacto por el Deporte; Rodrigo Contreras la gran contratación
El mercado ciclístico colombiano vuelve a ser noticia y, en este caso, se confirma oficialmente la llegada de Winner Anacona y Dayer Quintana, quienes estarán este año corriendo en una de las escuadras nacionales continentales en esta nueva campaña.
La RMC, pudo confirmar que los dos pedalistas boyacenses continuarán su carrera en el ciclismo colombiano este año. Los escuderos de Nario Quintana en territorio europeo retornan al país, luego de disputar las últimas temporadas en la categoría ProTeam, corriendo para el Arkéa Samsic.
Los dos escarabajos reforzarán la nómina élite del equipo apoyado por el Ministerio del Deporte y que estará dirigido por Ricardo Mesa y reforzado por Rodrigo Contreras, el mejor ciclista del calendario nacional la temporada pasada.

La estructura antes conocida como el Colombia Tierra de Atletas GW Shimano, continuará este año bajo la denominación (Colombia Pacto por el Deporte).
