El ciclista bogotano Nicolás Paredes, integrante del equipo Medellín-Inder, fue el mejor ubicado en la primera etapa del Tour de Alberta, que se corrió este viernes en Jasper sobre 62 kilómetros donde se impuso Evan Huffman.

Ha iniciado la participación del equipo Medellín-Inder en el Tour de Alberta, carrera que hace parte del ranking UCI, que además cuenta con la presencia de varios equipos del World Tour.

Así como lo hizo en la Vuelta a Colombia, Nicolás Paredes, fue protagonista en la primera jornada, que se llevó a cabo entre Jasper y Marmot Basin. El estadounidense Evan Huffman, del equipo Rally Cycling, marcó un tiempo de 3 horas, 48 minutos y 46 segundos, con segundo lugar para su compañero Sepp Kuss, quien arribó a 15 segundos y la tercera plaza fue el holandés Tom Slagter del Canondale a 28 segundos de diferencia.

Este sábado se corre la segunda etapa en Spruce Grove sobre  139 kilómetros de recorrido.
