Tour de L’Avenir: Álvaro Hodeg, sexto en etapa ganada por Christopher Lawless. Kasper Asgreen se mantiene líder
El velocista colombiano Álvaro José Hodeg se sigue destacando en el Tour de L’Avenir, al ingresar este lunes sexto en el cumplimiento de la cuarta etapa, la que fue ganada por británico Christopher Lawless y Kasper Asgreen (Dinamarca) se mantiene líder. La jornada se disputó entre las localidades de Derval y Saumur sobre 166.6 kilómetros.
El velocista colombiano Álvaro José Hodeg se sigue destacando en el Tour de L’Avenir, al ingresar este lunes sexto en el cumplimiento de la cuarta etapa, la que fue ganada por británico Christopher Lawless y Kasper Asgreen (Dinamarca) se mantiene líder. La jornada se disputó entre las localidades de Derval y Saumur sobre 166.6 kilómetros.
Christopher Lawless, en solitario consiguió la importante victoria donde Imerio Cima de Italia fue segundo y Kristoffer Halvorsen de Noruega, ganador ayer fue tercero. Sobre el final se presentó una caída en la que por fortuna no se vieron implicados ninguno de los integrantes de la Selección Colombia.
Wldy Sandoval estuvo en la fuga del día junto con Vasili Strokov y Harakhavik (Bielorrusia); Alan Riou (Bretaña), Darragh O’Mahony (Irlanda), Leo Danes (Auvergne Rhone Alpes) y George Zimmermann (Gran Bretaña), alcanzando a tener una diferencia de 4 minutos y 50 segundos sobre el gran lote.
«Entregamos todo en una etapa demasiado dura, el nivel de los corredores en el llano es demasiado fuerte, pero decidimos afrontarlo y darlo todo. Muy contento de haber superado esta etapa, y saber que mi cuerpo ya no está sufriendo crisis me pone contento y con ganas de sacrificarme al 100% por el equipo», comentó Sandoval, cuarto en la general de la Vuelta de la Juventud y campeón sub-23 en la Vuelta a Boyacá.
«El equipo está muy fuerte, pienso que lo importante es no ceder ni un segundo en estas etapas planas. Ya es esperar la montaña, estoy seguro de que con Egan podemos disputar la carrera, está muy fuerte», expresó el ciclista nacido en Paipa.
El mejor en la general sigue siendo Hodeg, cuarto a cuatro segundos del danés Kasper Asgreen. Además, el velocista colombiano disputa la clasificación de la regularidad, en la que es segundo con 70 puntos a 17 de Kristoffer Halvorsen. Este martes se llevará a cabo la quinta fracción y será entre las localidades de Montreuil-Bellay y Amboise sobre 157.1 kilómetros con la disputa de un puerto de montaña de cuarta categoría y una meta volante.

El bicicrocista bogotano Juan Carlos Gaitán se colgó la medalla de oro en la prueba de BMX Freestyle, este jueves en Armenia, en el marco de los Juegos Nacionales Juveniles Eje Cafetero 2024.
La actuación del deportista capitalino talló con la perfección, marcando 92.90 de puntaje, que no fue superado por ningún otro ciclista en la ronda final.
El podio de la prueba lo completaron los tolimenses David Fernando Tovar, quien terminó en el segundo lugar y Cristhian Leandro Tibaquirá, que se quedó con la medalla de bronce.

Oficial: Winner Anacona y Dayer Quintana se unen al Colombia Pacto por el Deporte; Rodrigo Contreras la gran contratación
El mercado ciclístico colombiano vuelve a ser noticia y, en este caso, se confirma oficialmente la llegada de Winner Anacona y Dayer Quintana, quienes estarán este año corriendo en una de las escuadras nacionales continentales en esta nueva campaña.
La RMC, pudo confirmar que los dos pedalistas boyacenses continuarán su carrera en el ciclismo colombiano este año. Los escuderos de Nario Quintana en territorio europeo retornan al país, luego de disputar las últimas temporadas en la categoría ProTeam, corriendo para el Arkéa Samsic.
Los dos escarabajos reforzarán la nómina élite del equipo apoyado por el Ministerio del Deporte y que estará dirigido por Ricardo Mesa y reforzado por Rodrigo Contreras, el mejor ciclista del calendario nacional la temporada pasada.

La estructura antes conocida como el Colombia Tierra de Atletas GW Shimano, continuará este año bajo la denominación (Colombia Pacto por el Deporte).
