Nature Valley Grand Prix: Andrés Miguel Díaz fue 3º en la general. Carlos Álzate campeón de los Sprints
Al gran fin de semana vivido por el ciclismo colombiano en territorio europeo con la victoria en Francia de Nairo Quintana (Movistar Team), con la general individual de la competencia Ruta del Sur, se le suma ahora el buen resultado obtenido por nuestros corredores en Estados Unidos.

Los vallecaucanos Andrés Miguel Díaz y Carlos Álzate de la escuadra Team Exergy, tuvieron un buen remate de carrera en la prueba Nature Valley Grand Prix, el primero al ubicarse tercero en la clasificación general individual a tan solo 18 segundos del local Tom Zirbel (Optum Pro Cycling p/b Kelly Benefit Strategies), quien se consagró como nuevo campeón de la importante competencia norteamericana.
Mientras que Álzate quien se ubicó en el puesto 31 a 4:52 segundos de Zirbel, se coronó como campeón en la clasificación de los sprints con 41 puntos, 12 menos que el argentino Alejandro Borrajo (Jamis-Sutter Home), quien quedó en segunda posición.
Otros corredores colombianos que figuraron, fueron el bogotano Fred Rodríguez (Team Exergy), quien se ubicó en el puesto 28 con un retraso de 4:20 segundos y Cesar Grajales (Competitive Cyclist Racing Team) quien terminó en la plaza 45 a más de 10 minutos del vencedor.
